The world's best off-road triathletes including 75 professionals from more than 20 countries and 35 states were in Maui to take on the world’s premier off-road triathlon course. A course comprised of a 1.5km ocean swim, a 32km mountain bike course that climbs 3,000 feet up and down the lower slopes of Haleakala, and a 12km trail run that traverses lava rock, forest trails, and beach sand. The professionals racing vied for the XTERRA World Champion title and $105,000 in prize money.
